Parkland's 2nd Annual Rubber Duck Race
Sunday, August 30, 4:15 pm

Get ready to quack your way to family fun at our fundraiser.
We promise
 thrills, spills, and adorable quacks!

Fundraising Goal: $750
Last year, we started with a modest goal of $500 – and happily surpassed it. (We raised $615!) This year, we’re going for $750.
We’re also starting this year with last year’s entire flock of 419 adopted ducks, but we may need to find even more ducks as adoptions come in. We’re hoping many more members will adopt ducks and help us reach our $750 goal!
All proceeds from the Duck Race will go toward a shade canopy over part of the baby pool area. This fundraising effort may extend beyond this year’s Duck Race as we work toward reaching our goal.
Every duck you adopt helps us reach our goal for a shade structure in the baby pool area, and we’re excited that a local business, Capital Crescent Collective, has adopted a bunch of ducks to help kick off this year's race, See bottom of the page to learn more about this great local business.
How It Works:
Members can adopt rubber ducks with a donation through this website. We may have some ducks available for adoption at the pool on race day, but please don’t count on it – adopt your ducks early to make sure you’re in the race!
On race day, we'll have separate heats by age group. We’ll dump all the adopted ducks into the pool, and then our members in each age group will kick like crazy to help the ducks battle it out to the finish line!
Prizes:
Each duck will have a unique identifier printed on them, and several lucky ducks will win a small prize for their adoptive parent.
A Few Rules:
  • We must keep all our adopted ducks in a row so we can use them again, next year. Therefore, ducks cannot go home with their adoptive parents after the race.
  • Only adopted Parkland ducks can be used in the races. You cannot use your own rubber ducks.
  • If the Duck Race cannot be held because of weather or other unforeseen circumstances, we cannot offer refunds. (The rain date is Sunday, September 6th.)
Duck Adoptions are Now Open!
Adopt your ducks today, and then come cheer them on at the Second Annual Rubber Duck Race on Sunday, August 30th at 4:15 pm!
And watch for our Duck Q&As by email, where ducks ask important questions about the race and whatever else is on their minds.
Let the quacking begin!
(Parkland Pool is a 501(c)7 non-profit. Donations to the Duck Race are not deductible.)
