A Whale of a Great Place!

Dear Prospective Member,

Parkland is a fun, family-oriented park and swimming pool. We currently have about 150 active individual, limited and family member households. Parkland was built in 1958, and yes we still have a handful of members from that era, along with several second-generation Parkland families. We just completed a major renovation of the main pool and baby pool with new tiles, liners and drains, and the pumps and skimmers were replaced in the mid-1990s. Therefore, the basic infrastructure of the pool is sound. We were able to complete the renovation without borrowing. The pool is debt free, and has run a balanced or surplus budget in recent years. The association is growing and improving. For many members the pool becomes a focal point of summer friendships and family activities, and we would love to have you join us.

Parkland is supported by a combination of volunteer effort, annual dues, and a capital assessment of $300 paid in installments over the first three years. In addition, each member pays $200 for a membership certificate. Upon resignation, the membership certificate, less any portion of the capital fund that remains unpaid, is refunded when an incoming member purchases a new certificate.
